OpenEnergyMonitor is a project to develop open-source energy monitoring tools. These tools can be used to help us relate to our use of energy, our energy systems and the challenge of sustainable energy.
This wiki is for up-to-date technical documentation for the various hardware and software modules of the OpenEnergyMonitor project. Please add, edit and improve content. See openenergymonitor.org for main project website
Your user from the openenergymonitor.org website should carry over to the wiki. Make sure your logged in to openenergymonitor.org before opening the wiki, you should be able to see your username in the right hand corner of the wiki. If this doesn't work try logging out then logging back in to openenergymonitor.org then re-launching the wiki. If it still doesn't work try clearing your browsers cookies.
This is what the MediaWiki support page has to say regarding editing a wiki, we couldn't agree more:
"The number one rule of wiki editing is to be bold. Dive in and make changes. Other people can correct mistakes later, so have confidence, and give it a try! There are all kinds of editing conventions, rules, and philosophies for the editing of wiki pages, but the "be bold" rule overrides these!"
"An edit can contribute whole new paragraphs or pages of information, or it can be as simple as fixing a typo or a spelling mistake. In general, try to add or edit text so that it is clear and concise. Most importantly, make sure you are always aiming to do something which improves the contents of the wiki. For help with formatting see [1]"
